I am a compassionate, intuitive, dedicated high school English teacher with experience teaching in-person, hybrid, and online. My colleagues at Mark Twain High School just voted me 2022 Teacher of the Year, and I am deeply entrenched in the school community, where I serve on my school’s Site Governance Team and School Site Council. I most recently led my school through our Western Association of Schools and Colleges Accreditation process as our coordinator, allowing Mark Twain to get a six-year accreditation cycle.I also spearhead the English department by creating engaging lesson plans for my class and colleagues, and supporting beginning teachers as they navigate lesson planning in a practical way. I excel both in the physical classroom and digital classroom, as evidenced by my Google certifications and wide array of digital applications embedded in learning and teaching. I graduated from University of San Diego with my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. In my free time, I enjoy taking spin classes, bike riding to the beach, and hanging out with my two cats.
