Using community engaged research methods with organizational partners, the school district, and neighborhood residents of Bradenton, FL, we will develop an action plan for guiding schools and service providers to effectively engage with parents to make early learning (ages 0-10) and parental language learning more responsive to the cultural diversity and linguistic differences of families in our communities.

Conducted organizational needs assessment on client and volunteer experience, and programs’ efficacy. Used research to triangulate stories of experiences, data, and dollars to write grants, develop marketing to donors, and lead giving campaigns. Developed a new parent language learning course focused on school readiness and grade-level achievement based on needs assessments in region.
