Buzz is a creative agency, specialising in producing products for the airline industry. This includes luxury branded amenities, textiles, meal service, and children’s in-flight entertainment kits.During the 10 years of working with Buzz, I was an Art Director for the previous eight years, and a Team Leader managing direct reports for the previous five years. My role was a combination of creative direction, team management, hands on design and project strategy.Throughout the years I had been a custodian for the Buzz brand and its continuous evolution. I also designed for a large portfolio of skincare brands, developed private label branding, produced retail packaging, GWPs, and developed children’s toys and amenities for the airline environment. I worked closely with the marketing team to deliver business solutions for branded collateral, advertising, EDMs, editorials, styling for photoshoots and videos, or any communication tools the company required.Working in a product design company deepened my knowledge of various manufacturing techniques and materials, including fabrics, plastics and emerging sustainable substrates. And have had the opportunities to visit China manufacturing factories to oversee and maintain quality control.Responsible for managing teams and providing direction, as well as working on-tools to achieve the desired result in a collaborative and supportive environment. Facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders of all levels, on project direction and delivery. Assessing priorities across multiple projects with quick decision making to ensure high quality design is met with commercial solutions. I was also responsible for developing designers in line with Buzz’ commercial and cultural values.

Sage Creative is a boutique communication design studio. Specialising in identity design and print based communications, they also offer design services for websites, retail POS displays.Here I worked in conjunction with the Creative Director. Developing my skills as mid-weight designer, extending concept development ability, using effective time management to produce high quality designs, from initial brief to final production.With major clients including L’Oréal Australia and Swatch Group Australia, strong premium brand integrity was required for every job, delivered with a high level of professionalism.I developed strong understanding of the retail skincare market, as a major portion of the role involved design for the brands of L’Oréal Australia. One project I undertook was the monthly update of promotional L’Oréal Skincare Retail Floor Stand and corresponding in-store material. The activation offer was re-freshed and redesigned every month and rolled out nation-wide in department stores and pharmacies. There were often new product launches for L’Oréal, for which I designed Media Kits for and launch event invitations and collateral.My role at Sage required a large amount of high resolution image re-touching and reproduction, which pushed me to improve my practical skills, as well as my aesthetic understanding of the work.I build strong working relationships with client stakeholders, such a Senior Brand Managers, Media & Communications Managers, to ensure client satisfaction and smooth job production.
