Health Leads is an organization which uses student volunteers to improve access to social determinants of health for low-income patients. As a Program Coordinator, I worked with a team of student advocates from Boston University to provide direction and support, and to develop a sense of community. Duties included planning and holding weekly meetings for case support and follow-up, coordinating schedules and staffing the desk, meeting one-on-one with advocates, and performing various tasks to ensure that the program ran smoothly.

Worked at Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester, MA to connect low-income patients with resources such as subsidized housing, food, employment, child care, and utilities assistance. Carried a 15-20 person caseload, and followed up with clients on a weekly basis until their needs were met or they felt comfortable accessing the appropriate resources on their own.

Ni Putes Ni Soumises is a feminist NGO that works to end violence against women in France and abroad, and to increase public awareness about women's issues. It also provides services to battered women, and provides a forum for public discussion on relevant current events. I worked as an intern in the International Department, and my primary duties included translating documents and news articles between French and English, maintaining all English-language media (on the Facebook page and website), working on the preliminary stages of a social media platform focused on the uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa, and performing administrative tasks.
