Hi, I'm Cass! I'm a UX Designer who recently converted from the lively world of retail sales management. I never could have imagined how similar these two fields are at their core: an understanding of people and finding out how to give them what they want and more. Working in trendy stores like Hot Topic and Zumies, I started to realize that I loved people and I loved helping them more than anything. From the moment they stepped into my store, I had a few seconds to size them up, assess their needs and try to provide the best experience that was tailored to their needs.When I learned that I could use these skills in order to improve the experience of people all over the world through UX/UI Design, I was sold. I took to the internet and scoured all the opportunities available to me. From youtube videos to attending online seminars, I learned about the wonderful world of UX/UI and how much I wanted to be a part of it. After all, who hasn’t had a terrible experience using a product whether it's a confusing remote or trying to buy concert tickets for Taylor Swift? The world of technology seemed like a hollow place to me, but with the help of UX/UI Design, I was able to encounter a streamlined experience specifically tailored to my needs. Over the past five months I have deepened my knowledge and love of people by studying UX/UI Design with my Thinkful cohort. My specialties include knowledge of Figma, Adobe Suite, Google Suite, competitive analysis, heuristic evaluation, user interviews and testing, task analysis, feedback implementation, brand development, and Clickable Prototype Development.
