- Managed invasive plant species including Autumn Olive, Ailanthus Altissima and others using mechanical, manual and chemical control methods- Installed and maintained deer exclosure fencing- Monitored bird nests for Tree Swallows, House Wren, Robins, and Kestrels- Assisted an employee from the Endangered & Nongame Species Program from the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife to band the young Kestrels at Willowwood Arboretum- Assisted with natural resources inventories and data collection- Engaged in habitat enhancement projects by removing invasive species to help with forest regeneration and meadow restoration, as well as removing dams at county parks to help with streambank and shoreline restoration- Assisted with projects that mitigate trail impacts to natural resources including closure of trails, rehabilitation of trails to address erosion issues, remediation of trails to address widening and other resource impacts- Assisted with field operations for insect management programs and prescribed burning programs, including but not limited to, emerald ash borer, spotted lanternfly, and other species as necessary- Utilized GIS software for data entry and mapping applications for a restoration project in which 1,500 trees were planted, in order to develop categories and organize each tree to be able to compare and see, based on original planting records, the number of trees which survived
