As an event assistant at Bliss Events in Columbus, Ohio, I created a high volume of quotes for clients in a timely manner, meeting a deadline and ensuring the accuracy of each quote. I also contacted clients in relation to this quote, their meetings, and event plans. I worked a part of the marketing team to develop a strategy to grow the business by partnering with local schools for fundraiser. I also helped with planning operations, office work, event management, set up and tear down.

As part of the sales team, I helped to develop marketing tactics and the recruitment of new, potential customers. After marketing research, I filled in on marketing strategies that seemed to work better than others while researching products, pricing and competition. I also educated employees on new systems through training and work instruction. I was also asked to fabricate and implement an internal communication strategy including e-mails, newsletters, weekly meetings, and more. I also created, edited and distributed internal communication plans and content.

As a marketing intern, I was asked to help enhance awareness and funds through marketing strategies to support the non-profit organization while markeitng the organization to the commuity and surrounding areas with the development of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, media ads, etc.). I created invitations, donation letters, sponsorship letters, thank you notes, campaign materials, and other developmental writing for the organization. I also was the organizations community outreach person for the Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser and communicated with key stakeholders for sponsors, donations, and volunteers. With all of the information collected, I tracked and created reports with data entry for the fundraiser, then creating and internal communications strategies to communicate the data and information for the committee.

During this time period, I worked directly with the founder on ways to get her company more business. We decided to write a book, featuring women in the Los Angeles area. During this process, I was to contact the women we chose to feature to set up interviews. Since this was a remote internship, I conducted the interviews through Skype or phone calls. After the interviews, I wrote the chapters of the book, as well as introductions for the women.

As a cashier in my first year at Phantom, I was to sign customers in and tell them about our current sales that were going on. I was also to help direct them to products or answer any questions they may have had. When they were done shopping, I was to check them out.In my second year at Phantom, I was promoted to be a head cashier. I am still to do all the tasks as a normal cashier but also to train other cashiers, help fix any errors while checking customers out, and making cash drops. I am also to oversee the other cashiers.This job took a lot of teamwork and relying on others to help make the summer, especially the Fourth of July, successful and as easy as possible.
