Movies in the Parks brings movies to more than 150 local parks every summer; creating neighborhood camaraderie and a fun, safe and one-of-a-kind way to experience one of America’s favorite pastimes in Chicago’s beautiful outdoor spaces. • Attending trainings to effectively direct assist pro se litigants with referrals to legal assistance provided by court-based pro bono and legal aid programs alongside the services provided by clerks, law library staff.
• Effectively using the “language line” to better serve patrons not fluent in English.
• Working alongside courthouse security and the Cook County Sherriff’s department to better assure patrons get to their destination within the courthouse and answer relevant questions.
• Reporting to and working in conjunction with the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice, while user-testing legal forms for commission to approve as “easily comprehensible” to an average patron.

• Co-coordinated the national United Way Day of Action, 560 first year student completing 1120 hours of service in one day.
• Spearheaded all university’s efforts for the 2012 Presidential Campaign, registering approximately 200 students to vote.
• Worked in partnership with the Salvation Army, collecting over 150 donated toys for underprivileged children towards Angel Tree holiday initiative.
• Established the “Weekend Service” Initiative for the University, implementing 20+ service days-over 50% increase from last year.
• Helped institutionalize weekend service to add to campus calendar of events.
• Prepared weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for local site and state supervisor.
