I have always had an interest in the intricacies of putting things together. Being a part of designing/building something so complicated and to see the final result, continues to make me nerd out a bit.In my early years, my favorite subjects were Math & Art so naturally I was drawn to the Architecture field. I started off in High School attending a technical education program in Computer-Assisted-Design and Drafting, earning myself an internship at the end of my Senior year with a small Architecture firm. I was then hired on after graduation and continued working in a professional environment while attending college. I had the unique advantage to learn simultaneously in class and in the field. I was eventually awarded a wonderful opportunity to get into the project management side of the industry. Developing an appreciation for the project's processes, I was able to teach myself basic fundamentals to automate some repetitive tasks. Creating functional programs that saved teammates time with data entry. This enabled my team to focus more on the details of the project, than the repetitive nature of the tasks and boost productivity and motivation. I was blown away with this idea of being able to build something functional and so intricate on the computer. Understanding that being self-taught has limitations, I set out to officially educate myself on the true nature of software engineering. I used the lull of CoVid to enroll in a Software Engineering coding class. It was an intense full-time immersion into coding, but I came out knowing that I found a passion in front-end developing but have a respect for the data.
