Interview youth and significant others to assess and evaluate their appropriateness and need for services. Supervise Mental Health Specialists as assigned. Conduct weekly supervision for all team MHSs. Conduct and attend all Treatment Teams Meetings. Audit charts on a routine basis. Work with referred adolescents, their families, representatives of referring agencies, and other relevant parties (in-house and external) to promote rehabilitation and amelioration of problems which interfere with productive social and emotional daily living. Act as liaison with various external agencies (such as Department of Children and Family Services, Department of Mental Health, Probation Department, Dependency Court, and police) to facilitate youths’ adjustment in daily living routines. Assist in preparing younth for lasting and successful housing, vocational, educational, and treatment experiences. Maintain on-going relations with other county agencies, health care facilities, placement centers and other resources necessary to effect the continuum of care for adolescents in the community. Interact and communicate with other clinical and non-clinical staff. Assist in crisis intervention and provide support and assistance in problem resolution.

Group Services Team Lead (MFT Intern)Provide therapeutic, rehabilitation and case management services to children with behavioral issues, collateral services to caregivers and facilitate children and parenting groups. Perform accurate mental health evaluations and produce clear, concise and timely professional documentation and correspondence in accordance with county and agency policy. Provide community resources and the ability to make appropriate linkages to resources. Participate in and/or facilitates treatment team and other meetings as necessary, on and off site. Work with referred adolescents, their families, representatives of referring agencies, and other relevant parties (in-house and external) to promote rehabilitation and amelioration of problems which interfere with productive social and emotional daily living. Approve notes in the EMR as assigned by Supervisor, including Group notes as assigned. Provide support to Team Supervisor in reviewing and approving documentation as directed. Also provide support in facilitating chart deficiency corrections as needed per DMH guidelines. Work as an adjunct to the team supervisor, as directed, to assist with referrals, census, flash reports, and other administrative duties. Manage held services to assure timely submission of documentation within DMH guidelines as assigned by Supervisor/Director. May assign cases to team members and assures productivity standards are met if directed by supervisor. Actively participate in the agency’s and SBHG’s Total Quality Management and Continuous Quality Improvement systems which support compliance with Joint Commission and other accreditation standards as applicable. Participate in TQM activities as requested including CQI subcommittees, probes, peer review, audit and/or tracer activities.
