Responsibilities include managing over $100 million worth of repair parts and equipment for four Army divisions. Supervise a staff of two Materiel Management Specialists in tracking inventories and ordering replacement supplies. Routinely work with a wide variety of systems to manage and track supplies and equipment for the 18th Airborne Corps units in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as in other locations around the world: Customer Account Tracking System, WebCATS, and an Oracle based Internet product that enables customers to view a wide range of logistics information, primarily from the Defense Logistics Agency's legacy systems such as SAMS; Utilize the Combat Service Support Control System (CSSCS) for inventory management, and use in conjunction with the Joint Total Asset Visibility System (JTAVS) to ensure commanders in the field and at the highest level are aware of their combat capabilities. Trained 20 soldiers on procedures for expediting critical repair parts in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom by utilizing eight web-based logistical tracking systems. Trained 8 Supply Supervisors in the use of the Standard Army Retail Supply System.
