The Department of Housing and Residence Life is a $24MM auxiliary enterprise serving 5,500 residential students and employing nearly 300 professional and student staff. Responsible for managing technology projects for the Housing Technology Services subdivision.AccomplishmentsProject Management Office Creation - Initiated and implemented the first project management flow system to organize project intake utilizing SharePoint. Created Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), form templates, and status report templates to provide guidance on utilization of the PMO office. SharePoint 2007 Implementation Project – Planned and scheduled the deployment of SharePoint 2007 to HRL. Created and led a SharePoint Governance team to develop standard guidelines amongst the different sectors in HRL.SharePoint 2010 Migration Project – Assisted and managed the migration from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010. Created a long lasting rapport with the vendor and stakeholders involved in this project. Computer Refresh Project – Managed and planned the replacement of new computer hardware for all of Housing and Residence Life. Created a reoccurring cycle of software updates for the computer refresh. Software, System, and Hardware Update Projects – Managed and supervised multiple system and software updates to Housing and Residence Life employees. This includes everything from operating system changes to deploying hardware to new employees. Nyumba 3.0 Project – Managed the creation and renovation of new and old modules for a home grown system, Nyumba 2.0, where students apply for housing and staff maintain business processes.
