As a classroom tutor and team member of the 2018 summer learning program for students of the HSCDSB in grades K-5, my role included assisting/planning the integration the robots and coding into centres for literacy, numeracy, and incorporation of indigenous learning in the classrooms. The SLP is delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Council of Directors of Education (CODE) and is created for students to sustain and/or improve their literacy and numeracy skills while engaging in exciting cultural and recreational activities.
