Process specialist in the Process & Enablement team within InfraCo

As part of the nbn Services - NBN Partnerships, Commercial and Contract Management (PCCM) group, working for the DRSI CCS & Financial Management team:- Process Development & Business Improvement - Analyse and Streamline workflows through continuous process improvement activities- Lead for Systems & Automation (including VBA)- Lead for Quality, Knowledge, & Substantiation management- Lead daily sprints to check in on work priorities and provide an opportunity for team communication in a remote working environment- Lead team through identifying and developing business opportunities/initiatives, through workshops and ongoing project meetings- Responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of Excel-based databases utilising VBA macros to compile over 15,000 monthly transaction and timesheet records, to report on the monthly billing of approx $1.1 million- Sharepoint Site owner for Team page, including establishing the structure to support audit trail requirements for substantiation- Financial support delivering reporting for Delivery partners (SAP)- Agile and Lean Training- Facilitate retrospectives, PIR and other workshops as required

- Short Term Contract to Cover Staff Leave- Financial Accounting Transactions (Daily & Monthly)- Reconciliation of Staff Parking Payroll Deductions- Process Improvement using Excel Macros to automate daily tasks, including the reformatting of files

• All Financial Accounting Transactions for National Division, including Bank Reconciliation & Accounts Receivable• Training Staff on their Salary Packaging benefits applicable due to the organisations Not For Profit Status• Processing of Monthly payroll process for 130 Staff.• Preparation of Monthly BAS, Assets & Depreciation• Monthly Accrual Journals for External funding

Systems/ Analysis - Variance analysis including root cause analysis for discrepancies found between internal financial systems- Liaison contact between Finance and IT departments- Trainer & Mentor of Junior Finance staff- Module owner for customer service receipting tool, and responsible officer for updating general ledger parameters including GST determination for new fee types, as well as processing of receipt transfers. - Development of streamlined daily banking sheets for external sites to reduce discrepancies and allow for accurate reconciliation for month end and acquittals- Finance representative during the Payroll (Aurion) Upgrade, including extensive User Acceptance TestingManagement Accounting- Provided assistance to employees with financial queries, including budget, purchase card & general financial enquires.- Maintenance of Ledger accounts, reports & user access for General Ledger & Budgeting Systems- Management of credit card purchase system; Online program- (Flexipurchase) supported by Access Database), including training of staff in both one-on-one and group training sessions, and audit of spending.- Update procedures for all finance functions - Prepare adhoc reports as requested by management for external reporting such as Council meeting & FOI requests, or Audit requirement’s.- Consult with Managers directly about transactions showing in their BudgetsFinancial Accounting- Monthly reconciliation between customer service program and general ledger, including full reconciliation of any issues within a 1 day end of month deadline- Daily financial management of general ledger and cash flow including investment control for Ballarat Aquatic & Lifestyle Centre Bank.- Assist in preparation of end of year reports, including calculations for Long service leave liabilities- Full preparation of monthly BAS- Preparation of FBT Return, including analysis of Meal Entertainment (Tax Exempt Body).

- Tax and general accounting preparation for a variety of clients, including individuals, companies & trusts:o Bas Preparation, including analysis of Transactionso Budget Forecasting for clients based on year to date transactionso Tax Return (Individual, Partnership, Trust and Small Business)o SMSF Return & Audito Construction and update of Chart of accounts- Use of many accounting software packages based on client’s needs.

- First level helpdesk support for Myer & McDonald’s Clients- Troubleshoot many basic IT issues around Eftpos, registers, printer and windows issues- Assist users in issues with the windows & Microsoft systems as needed.- Troubleshoot and document issues for higher level issues to be resolved by 2nd level support team- Liaise & negotiate between the client and other support groups on ongoing issues- Follow up outstanding jobs to get completed in Service Level Agreements.
