As a Mathematics Major at West Chester University, I learned the importance of hard work, analytical skills, and community. I was able to take courses that have furthered my knowledge in Microsoft Excel, many different coding systems, and in mathematics topics such as calculus, probability, and statistics. These skills have helped me excel in being an aspiring actuary and future leader. As a member of the honors college, I learned the importance of diversity and inclusion, teamwork, and leadership. Having been an underwriting intern at USLI for over a year, I have also been able to receive knowledge about the inner workings of the insurance industry and the many programs and softwares underwriters and actuaries use. I am excited to continue learning new skills at my current job at Goodville Mutual Casualty Company as an Actuarial Student. I cannot wait to start searching for new actuarial opportunities in my future!
