As the Outreach and Partnerships Program Associate I am responsible for leading ten annual education programs that engage professionals and community members in Minneapolis. In addition I recruit, train, and manage volunteers, community partners and provide oversight and direction for event development, budget management, media relations, and marketing.I have enjoyed a variety of successes in this role including engaging and developing over 35 new community and business partner relationships in little over a year, resulting in a 40% increase in event awareness. Identifying opportunities to promote directly to specific communities, I have also been directly responsible for a 35% increase in community participation throughout various communities. Passionate about building awareness and teaching throughout the community. I conceptualize and manage events that range up to 300 participants, increasing diversity attendance by 41%. Keyed Up Events provides event planning for special events, tradeshows, trunk shows, and weddings locally in the Twin Cities. In addition I launched a 5-year seasonal in-kind donations drive, resulting in a 25% annual improvement in goods received, significantly reducing the agency’s budget. I also identified barriers to community involvement and reached out to communities and organizations, exceeding program goals by increasing volunteer opportunities by 40% across seven project divisions. Observing opportunities to increase efficiencies with how individuals tracked hours, I implemented a new system, reducing employee process time by 60%.

As a Family Advocate I was responsible for controlling a 24-hour crisis line serving over 2500 clients yearly in a 24-hour domestic violence shelter. In addition to providing assistance to clients from helping obtain affordable housing, crisis assessments, counseling services, and legal advocacy, I also developed and launched an 8-hour curriculum on financial literacy. Teaching clients the benefits of smarter money management, I provided additional support, motivation, and inspiration. Additionally I participated on the planning committee for the Project Homeless Connection that brought together 160 agencies, 500 service providers, and 1600 volunteers to serve 1800 individuals seeking medical services, crisis intervention, resume building, and interview practice skills.
