I have the wonderful opportunity to lead a global team that identifies and executes on the meaningful ways in which Dell creates both business growth and societal impact. We ensure impact is woven directly into how we run our business by innovating and partnering through the lens of ESG. In my role, I’m focused on collecting insights, setting strategy, and partnering directly with key stakeholders – customers, investors, employees, communities and beyond – to ensure we deliver on our commitments, drive meaningful change, and demonstrate the value of impact-driven business.Dell has always had a commitment to using technology to improve communities and individual lives, and this commitment has grown into a key component of how we work everyday. We feel passionately that business can be a force for good, and that taking action on the societal issues that are important to our business and our stakeholders is critical to our long-term sustainability and to delivering on our purpose of enabling human progress.My entire career has been spent in large organizations, most of which working specifically on impact strategy and actions. That experience has helped me develop an understanding of the opportunities and pitfalls businesses, and their stakeholders, face when tackling new, complex challenges within the boundaries of available resources, social dynamics and as part of a much broader system. And I think it’s so important that we tackle these challenges ambitiously and graciously to create a positive impact. Driving positive societal change isn’t a feel-good exercise for me, I want to be able to look back on my life and career and know that I’ve been a force for good.I also take seriously the responsibility to act in a way that will have a positive impact for future generations. For example, as a mom to 3 and wife to my very best friend, my family and I love to explore U.S. national parks, cities everywhere, and all the unique spots in between (we love thinking about life as one big adventure). I'm so grateful to be able to commit my career to help make sure my children, and children across the globe, will be able to make those same memories with their children for generations to come.
