At the end of the 2017-2018 school year, I served as maternity substitute in 5th grade for three weeks. I co-planned a unit on the Universe beyond Earth with the primary teacher. A presentation on celestial bodies was the students' major product. It was a good opportunity for exploring pre and post data on student knowledge and Universal Design for Learning.

I assist the primary teacher in transitional kindergarten with whole classroom management, small groups, and one-on-one needs.

I worked with a team to ensure the health, safety, and enjoyment of children six weeks to twelve years old. I lead circle time, games, and activities.

I implemented the plans supplied by the classroom teacher or utilized my own prepared back-up lessons.

Supervised children 3-10 years old in a 10-1 ratio while ensuring their health, safety, and comfort. I planned educational experiences through themed units developed based on child interests. I developed positive relationships with students and families. I helped students resolve conflict and develop problems solving skills necessary for kindergarten. Collaborated with other teachers to plan field trips, activities, and clubs. Co-taught clubs for yoga, creative art, and glee club.
