Creation of phenomenon based curriculum that is student centered and related to relevant experiences for students and based in 21st Century skills while exposing students to the NGSS Science and Engineering Practices. I have taught integrated grades (10th-12th) since 2018 in AP & regular Biology, Earth Science, and Chemistry (2022-2023). I have also created Biotechnology and Anatomy /Physiology electives immersing students in hands-on lab design, analysis and communication, using student voice to co-create the class. I participated on the Collaborative School Committee (18-19, 20-21), Antibias and Antiracist Committee (20-22), and School Leadership Team (21-22) focused on advocacy for teacher learning and structures that better serve student equity and needs. I participated in a Summer 2021 American Montessori Institute Workshop to develop in Montessori pedagogy and practices.In 2021 our school team participated in professional development with Embracing Equity to begin to understand and begin to dismantle oppressive systems in education and to learn how to work toward liberation education.
