• Responsible for multiple concurrent projects involving the design of new products as well as product improvement with minimal assistance from my supervisor. These changes and designs made large monetary profits for the company and involved a lot of hands on skills in a shop environment metalworking and performing basic carpentry.• Designed a new glass door product for the company installed in homes internationally. This design was focused on cost reduction, aesthetics, manufacturability, and ease of installation. I was responsible for the design concept with minimal input and suggestion from my supervisor. All models, drawings, part sourcing, working with vendors, prototyping, and troubleshooting of the product was handled independently.• Designed a force testing mechanism to certify current door design to commercial standards. This project involved the design, build and testing of the setup used to certify current door design. Using methods learned in MODS courses, beam deflection calculations were used to suggest and prototype modifications to the door design to ensure it would pass the required standard.• Took on and completed a project started by a previous employee in order to save the company thousands of dollars per installation. • General support for ongoing projects in production including assistance in building and/or troubleshooting elevator operator mechanisms to ensure that all deadlines were met for customer ship outs.

• Used Taguchi method of Design Of Experiments to improve current ATM modules to improve operation and customer satisfaction. This project involves the data analysis and testing processes, as well as designing, fabricating, and releasing a solution to be used in the field.

• Completed the initial design process of brainstorming and 3D modelling a camera module to be implemented in single cheque processing of ATM machines. This process required collaborating with others responsible for separate components of the mechanism to allow for constituents to function properly as a whole. During this design process machining and plastic molding techniques were taken into account to ensure that the mechanism could be molded easily and economically.• Made modifications to a component of the current ATM prototype modules to improve performance and reliability of the machines. This modification is to be implemented in installments of the ATM modules internationally. • Used problem solving and analytic skills to troubleshoot and fix broken ATM mechanisms.

• Designed, modeled and created the necessary engineering drawings and documents for the manufacture of multiple fixtures at my previous work placement, Centra Industries. These fixtures were used to properly install bushings, rivets, as well as involved in saw cutting mechanisms with very strict tolerance requirements and very unique part designs.• Designed and fabricated a steering post mount for the University of Waterloo Clean Snowmobile Team 2014 competition snowmobile. The team is currently in the process of building a new snowmobile for this upcoming 2014 competition.• Completed multiple CAD assignments throughout high school and first year university terms including fully dimensioned architectural drawings, floor plans, multiple machine parts and technical drawings.
