I started my career working for a small private practice mostly working with children, adolescents, and their families in a longer term counseling setting. While I very much enjoyed that experience, I wanted to branch out and see what other clinical settings had to offer. After working for multiple EAP companies for years, I found that to be my special niche. I loved the short term aspect of EAP work; especially conducting intake assessments and providing in the moment support for employees of companies in need. For a brief period of time, I was also the on-campus clinical counselor at a University, providing short term counseling directly to medical and nursing students. When I was no longer on-site at the University due to the COVID pandemic, I realized I that in addition to clinical work, I excelled at training our new hires in our Access Center. Shortly after that I became the full time trainer and even developed a training manual that new employees could reference after their training period. Recently with a company acquisition, I have now shifted from a full clinical role into a Book of Business Specialist utilizing my many skills to help managers & HR with their employee situations: from clinical consults, formal referrals, and critical incident requests, to be more specific. I love new challenges and expanding my knowledge in the mental health field.
