Founder And Editor In ChiefWild Magazine Jan 2018 - Jul 2019In January 2018 I launched an online student magazine on environmental and ethical issues, aimed at students on a budget who want to be more eco-friendly. I created a Wordpress website and used social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) to promote the magazine, formed a team of 17 students from different universities including a Deputy Editor and Social Media Manager, gathered and edited submissions for publication and been listed as an ethical business in the One Planet York directory. In my role as Editor-in-Chief I reached out to relevant societies, ethical businesses and organisations for collaboration, co-ordinate the team and delegate responsibilities, find potential contributors, communicate online and offline with readers, write editorial pieces, and organised the handover to new editors.
