I am a consultant specialised in content development and event facilitation for advocacy NGOs. Clients include Friends of the Earth Europe, UNEP Stakeholder Forum, Climate Action Network International, World Federation for Animals, BBC, European Coalition for Corporate Justice, Fair Trade Advocacy Office and Sustain Your Style. I also facilitate events, host workshops and give speeches on digital advocacy, climate communications, and activist burnout. I have previously spoken for TEDx, the European Commission, and CreativeMornings Global.Invited participant to Future News Worldwide Conference 2022. Media Fellow for the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue 2022.

Editor of climate justice newsletter The Green Fix, which goes out every fortnight with news, interviews and free resources to help citizens take action to fight the climate crisis.

I was selected to be one of 75 youth delegates to take part in a leadership training program for the SDGs. As part of this programme I helped organise and create marketing materials for the Youth SDG Summit, as well as hosting a panel event on the role of youth in climate activism.

Worked primarily on the economic justice campaigns during my time at Friends of the Earth Europe, including the successful #HoldBizAccountable joint campaign on EU due diligence. I also oversaw communications for the release of 2 major reports on due diligence and the EU-Mercosur deal.

I worked in the media team at Oxfam EU Advocacy Office preparing media outputs, running the social media feeds, monitoring the media and working with affiliate offices to coordinate communication strategies.

Storymaker for the DICE programme run by the British Council and Pioneers Post. I write about social enterprise and sustainable development.

In my role at the FTAO I oversaw communications outputs and my work included, but was not limited to:- Implementing a new communications strategy - Producing, editing and printing publications and comms outputs for the office including press releases, articles, blogs, email newsletters, position papers, leaflets and invitations.- Maintaining several websites (Wordpress, Wix) - Developing social media channels: Twitter, LinkedIn, Vimeo- Contact management - Taking and editing photos and videos at events, keeping event and meeting minutes- Monitoring media for relevant updates

In January 2018 I launched an online student magazine on environmental and ethical issues, aimed at students on a budget who want to be more eco-friendly. I created a Wordpress website and used social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) to promote the magazine, formed a team of 17 students from different universities including a Deputy Editor and Social Media Manager, gathered and edited submissions for publication and been listed as an ethical business in the One Planet York directory. In my role as Editor-in-Chief I reached out to relevant societies, ethical businesses and organisations for collaboration, co-ordinate the team and delegate responsibilities, find potential contributors, communicate online and offline with readers, write editorial pieces, and organised the handover to new editors. We currently have over 1000 followers.

I offer freelance work in writing, editing and social media marketing. I write PR, articles and blog content, with a particular interest in social issues and sustainability. I have worked on the social media channels for Science City York promoting their activities and upcoming events on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and their website.

Spent 10 weeks mapping the creative sector in York as part of the Make It York Creative Strategy 2018. I have done extensive independent research into the businesses in York, collated the data using Excel and mapping tools, and analysed the data for a comprehensive summary of the sector. My work included managing social media channels for Science City York, namely Twitter, Facebook, Mailchimp newsletters, Instagram, LinkedIn and the News section of the website. I have also written articles for the website and drawn up press releases. In addition I have communicated with businesses in York by attending face-to-face networking events to better shape the creative strategy.

I advise A-level students both online and face-to-face on Spanish A-level, study skills, and answer questions about university life. In the first year of the project I was commended for maintaining the longest and most active mentor-mentee relationship.
