I started working at Timberline as a busser when I was 15 years old. Once I was 16 I was promoted to hostess. Usually people are not able to be waitress until after they graduated high school, but my willingness to help out and my work effort I was able to become a waitress at 16. Through this job I have developed good people skills and the ability to work hard. Being a waitress, "the more you put into it the more you get out" because what we make is determined by the amount of tips we make. As a waitress you have to remember a couple dozen different things and what order you need to do them. You also learn how to adjust to your situation and handle busy times.

Working in a small town hospital I was able to work in multiple units. I worked in the Emergency room where I would take vitals, clean wounds, assist nurses and doctors. I worked in acute and swing bed where I would monitor patients, take them to the restroom, shower, feed, position, etc. I observed different surgeries such as C-section, ear tubes, hysterectomy, and scopes. My favorite was working with labor and delivery along with the nursery. I assisted with the labor process and making sure the mother was comfortable. In the nursery I stimulated baby and took vitals after birth, gave first bath, hearing test, weighing measuring etc. I loved working as a CNA and have developed many skills in the nursing field.
