Performed a variety of tasks to assist with hydrologic analysis including developing stormwater designs, drainage reports, and restoration plans. Learned how to generate hydrologic models in HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS. Utilized open source digital elevation models in combination with lidar and ground shots to develop base maps for 2D hydrologic models. In addition to engineering work, I was able to assist with land surveying for tasks such as geomorphic monitoring and collecting ground points to support generation of topographic maps to use in hydrologic models. I assisted in the data workups for monitoring projects such as the Shea Homes development in Pleasanton and the Miller Creek restoration.

I worked to support research on the effects of the pond and plug restoration technique on meadows in the Sierra Nevadas. My responsibilities include utilizing various programs such as Google Earth Pro, Google Earth Engine, and ArcGIS Pro in order to investigate changes in meadow features. I perform field work doing analysis of stream pools as well as survey channel topography using a total station. I've also worked on a separate project within the RiverLab doing quality control and analysis of rainfall and streamflow time series data sets.

Supported the construction of multiple river restoration projects through management and analysis of data. Utilized Survey123 to collaborate with our technician team to develop weekly productivity reports on each project. Designed surveys for daily equipment inspections and the operators' timecards. Worked as a liaison between our project superintendent and accountant to ensure that operators' time was being submitted correctly for each pay period.

Supported the construction of multiple large-scale river restoration projects through field work. Frequently used RTK and total station surveying to map future project sites, stake out boundaries for project sites, and check grade for operators on current project sites. Was also designated to assist the design engineer with miscellaneous tasks related to the project.

Co-coordinated a simulated drunk driving accident involving over 15 organizations. The program involved four main components: a simulated car crash, an overnight retreat for all participating students, organizing a mock funeral for the high school staff and student body to attend, and creating a short film to document the project.

Duties included construction and maintenance of Beaver Dam Analogs, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, diving to survey for salmon, juvenile salmonid PIT tagging, invasive weed removal, and monitoring of game cameras.
