Data and evaluation for two grant-funded programs aimed at workforce development and small, minority owned local business development in Salt Lake County. I facilitate data collection, data management, and CRM implementation with local and minority owned nonprofits and business chambers. I collaborate with the program teams to coordinate processes and plan program outcome measurements. I train partners on use of CRM and collection of data, and provide advice and support as we work together. I communicate program updates that are data-informed and provide KPI reporting through dashboards and presentations.

I listened to, supported, and connected individuals in Salt Lake County that were seeking assistance and services. I pulled data from the SAMi online application to clean, organize, and analyze for deeper understanding of the needs of the community and how funding has aided in serving those in need. I had the honor of touring and learning about wonderful outreach and nonprofit organizations in the county. Work from time in this role culminated in a conference presentation at the National Human Services Data Consortium in April, 2023.

• Extensive use of R to perform data cleaning and analysis of a large dataset containing three classes of incoming freshmen’s demographics and pre-orientation attitudes and perceptions. • Analyzed data to explore and discover potential early indicators for prediction of student success and retention.• Collaborated with and provided statistical explanation and guidance to team of faculty.

• Responsible for analyzing and disseminating findings from several federally funded randomized clinical trials assessing home-based programs for child abuse prevention with a team of implementation science researchers. • Executed research activities, involving data cleaning and analysis, presenting findings, and examining complex research designs, such as hybrid regression discontinuity with a randomized controlled trial.• Extensive use of R for simulation studies and data analyses.

ICAP Pilot 1 Evaluation & ICAP Pilot 2 Evaluation• Performed as Co-Investigator for Pilot Year 1 and as Principal Investigator for Pilot Year 2. • Created surveys using Qualtrics to assess educators’ level of knowledge and use of the Individual Career Academic Planning (ICAP) initiative. • Organized and led focus groups for educators to discuss their experiences with ICAP implementation. • Transcribed and analyzed focus group data for technical report; extracted important themes to provide evidence-based improvements for ICAP implementation and integration.• Co-Author on Technical Report of Pilot Years 1 and 2 for stakeholders.GEAR UP PLANS and Check & Connect Grants, OSDE• Used SAS and R to run logistic regressions and correlations to assess the relationship between a mentoring intervention and students’ outcomes such as GPA and absenteeism. • Created research-based best practice recommendation resources for K-12 educators and administrators in Logic model format• Compiled secondary research for a non-technical audience on several academic topics such as drop-out prevention, college and career readiness, and culturally relevant/responsive pedagogy.• Presented technical findings and evidence-based recommendations for a non-technical audience.K20 Center Research Briefs• Updated large database of publicly available K12 educator recommendation-based research briefs by conducting secondary research regarding chronic absence and truancy, equity in instruction, culturally competent teaching, and strategies for parental involvement. • Provided additional resource recommendations on allyship and unlearning racism.KISSCE Instrument Development Paper• Provided expert guidance on manuscript methodology for the K20 Inventory of Student School and Career Engagement (KISSCE) instrument. • Articulated method section detailing the measure development process, involving matrix sampling/spiral method used to reduce survey fatigue in student test takers.

Created a fun and engaging atmosphere for guests and members. Managed members' check-in and attendance in gym events. Provided climbing orientations for bouldering, auto-belay, and top-ropes. Facilitated birthday parties of 8-15 children and their parents, including orientations for all kids, maintaining the birthday room, cleaning and set-up of birthday room, monitoring children, and providing advise and belaying. Assisted in keeping the entire gym area clean. Monitored climbers for unsafe behavior and incorrect climbing practices. Attended yoga and fitness courses to become more knowledgeable to assist customers. Occasionally assisted at the OKC location when more help was needed.

Instructor of Research Methods I: Statistics, Psych 2113 in Fall 2018• Instructor of record for a bi-weekly statistics course responsible for preparing lecture slides, in-class activities, and facilitating discussion. • Instructed undergraduate students on basic principles of statistics involving correlation, regression, sampling, t-tests, ANOVA, and chi-square. Lab Instructor of Research Methods II: Experimental Design, Psych 3114 in Fall 2017 and Spring 2018• Demonstrated statistical procedures and analyses using SPSS to ensure student understanding. • Trained students in APA research and writing methods via lectures and detailed editing and feedback on papers. • Awarded The Provost’s Certificate of Distinction in Teaching in Fall 2017.

Assisted graduate students with Micheal Mumford's industrial organizational psychology lab. Conducted in-person studies including managing participants, providing instructions, collecting materials, and recording outcomes. Performed coding and data entry of qualitative study data for several studies. Presented a poster at Department of Psychology Poster Conference to disseminate findings of a study. Study focuses included: creativity, leadership, leader-subordinate relationship, and individual differences. Collaborated with graduate and undergraduate students.
