As a zoo interpreter I interacted with thousands of guests on a daily basis, answering questions, giving directions, and doing my best to make their zoo experience memorable. As an educator, I had to learn a wide variety of facts about the zoo, the animals in the zoo, and the mission of the AZA in addition to that of the John Ball Zoo. Through this position I gained great experience in customer service as well as non-classroom education techniques.
