• Reduced packaging equipment downtime by 1,600+ minutes per year using Autonomous Maintenance methodology. • Automated a duplicate sorting process for multiple old documentation systems using Python, reducing the process duration from 14 days to 30 seconds and significantly decreasing space taken by duplicates on the site-wide drive. • Launched an online-offline document platform with Veeva containing 500+ maintenance procedures and current best approaches, sorted by equipment module. Resulted in increased robustness of production knowledge base and paper reduction.

Recipient of the University of Toronto Excellence Award (UTEA)• Created a standard operating procedure for the operation of a novel 3D cell culture-compatible tumour modeling system developed by the McGuigan Lab (SPOT).• Quantified cell fluorescence potency in the novel 3D cell culture-compatible tumour modeling system to assess the efficacy of the system in simulating the tumour microenvironment undervarious conditions. This data was incorporated into a published academic paper.• Developed code (Python) to streamline the transfer of imaging data to Excel for future ease-of-analysis, reducing time for data transfer from 2.5 hours to 20 minutes.• Performed RNA extraction on pancreatic cancer cells to aid in data collection for a study testing various tumour microenvironment conditions using TRACER (a tumour modeling system that simulates a tumour microenvironment using 2D cell cultures by introducing an oxygen gradient).• Designed experiments to assess impact of cell density on gemcitabine resistance for KP4 cells in 3D hydrogel cultures.

Characterized the presence of microplastics in stormwater field samples and conducted solid-phase extraction for toxic chemical-polluted wastewater sample analysis. Specific duties were as follows:- Performed organic digestion on stormwater runoff samples to purify water of organic matter and prepare for microplastic quantification- Facilitated microplastic quantification in stormwater runoff samples to aid in assessing the efficacy of bioretention cells in development- Conducted solid-phase extraction with a vacuum-manifold setup to extract targeted compounds from contaminated wastewater samples, resulting in concentrated analytes of appropriate concentration for HPLC analysis- Maintained duckweed samples to prepare for analysis of efficacy in purifying contaminated wastewater- Compiled research data using Excel and graphically represented data using OriginPro
