I am constantly either listening to music or playing my own music. In addition to singing I play guitar and piano, and can get lost for hours in playing my instruments. 4. I love kids and was a nanny for the last year as well as a voice instructor for elementary students for three years. Kids bring energy and imagination that is inspiring and so full of joy. If I'm honest, kids are way cooler than most adults. 5. One of my strengths is learning new things. I am able to pick things up pretty quickly and have a hunger to learn more6. I am a one-on-one person. Despite being more introverted by nature, I love one-on-one conversations and learning what makes people tick. 7. I am a "do it yourself" kind of girl. If a picture needs hanging, I'm going to hang it. If I need a pair of mittens, I am going to knit them. If I want learn about outer space, I am going to look it up and learn it. While I love to collaborate with others, I also love to get certain things done on my own, especially the heavy lifting. 8. I am a caretaker. One of my greatest strengths that comes in handy more in my personal life, is the compassion I have for others and my natural tendency to be a caretaker. I used to think my empathy was a bit of a weakness, but as I've gained more life experience, I've seen just how transformative compassion and empathy can be with healthy boundaries.9. I am a humble leader. Leadership didn't always come naturally, but with years of practice in different jobs, I know what is means to be a humble leader. To me this means having the ability to accept criticism, praise, and advice from the people I'm leading, while also having a strong sense or what is right and wrong given the situation. 10. I am a good listener and a trustworthy one too. I can recall countless times growing up where each member of my family would come to my room, sit on my bed, and tell me about the issues they were having. I love to make people feel heard by simply taking time to listen to their feelings, even if it has nothing to do with me. Everybody needs to feel heard sometimes.
