About Cassidy Dimon

Cassidy is a queer event & film producer with unilateral hearing loss who combines her passion for accessibility with her 15+ years of skilled event and film production. She has spent her career uplifting independent film with nearly a decade working on the film festival circuit; producing queer, women, and non-binary-led films; and producing large film events for the film/documentary field. She founded the Film Event Accessibility Working Group (FEAW) in 2021, a consortium of US-based film event producers and organizations committed to increasing accessibility in the film industry (members include the New Orleans Film Society, ReelAbilities: NY, the Sundance Institute, SFFILM and more). She partnered with FWD-Doc and the Film Festival Alliance to create the Film Event Accessibility Scorecard which launched in July 2022 to much acclaim. This work is the culmination of her years of engagement with the disability community, her own experience with disability, and her passion for bringing people together through film and events.
