Growing up I was constantly exposed to hard work that led to success, as my dad is a family physician. This gave me the motivation to be as successful as him because he was able to create a strong life for his family. This motivation led me to Clarke University because I can get my doctorate of physical therapy within six years, play the sport I love, and gain interpersonal skills through my close relationship with professors, coaches, peers, and teammates. As a second year Clarke University student, I am involved in Women's Basketball, Clarke Inclusive Games, and Dance Marathon. I chose these clubs because they will give me the most access to the community, to make a difference, build relationships, and to push me outside of my comfort zone. As a second year Pre-Physical Therapy student who is currently studying Health, Wellness, and Behavioral Sciences, I am gaining a well-round rounded education. This major allows me to take classes in biology, chemistry, mathematics, psychology, and business. I believe I am a strong leader, I am not afraid to stand up for what I believe in, and I give it my all when I am working towards something.Throughout my high school years, I worked at a restaurant in my hometown as a hostess and a waitress. While working in both of these positions, I gained customer service skills, people skills, and teamwork by serving and talking to customers daily. After I graduate from Clarke University, I will pursue my doctorate of physical therapy through Clarke and then continue on to find an open physical therapy job. I love being around all different age groups and will continue to strive for greatness with my doctorate.
