I developed landscape designs with CAD software according to clients’ wants & needs while considering existing conditions. I coordinated the installation of landscape designs, including the purchasing of plants & materials and placement of plants on-site, per design. I generated creative solutions to issues that arise during both the design & installation processes. I communicated effectively with clients, vendors, & coworkers in order to efficiently meet deadlines and implement designs.

As a landscape design intern, I had a wide range of duties on a day-to-day basis. I produced master plans, section drawings, and detail drawings for construction documents in autoCAD, including demolition, landscape, hardscape, and lighting plans. I created conceptual and colorful hand-renderings for the client(s). I generated design, installation, and enhancement quotes. I produced presentation documents in Adobe InDesign & Photoshop, and I presented these to the client(s). I also learned how to wisely manage my time in order to meet deadlines, and I improved my communication skills with both clients and coworkers.

During the summer of 2017, I worked on the shrub and tree lot at Stanley's. My daily duties consisted of watering all of the plants, raking up leaf litter, pulling weeds out of the pots, and straightening up sections of plants. On a weekly basis, I transplanted plants into bigger pots, propagated different varieties of plants, unloaded plants from delivery trucks, and managed pests/diseases (mainly black spot on roses). I also assisted customers in choosing plants to fit their specific needs - sometimes by helping them design their landscape - and answering any questions they had.
