I think that everyone has the potential to accomplish things they never imagined, and I work hard to do my absolute best at everything I put my hand to.I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Thompson Rivers University with a double Major in English and Psychology. I love to learn and I want to make the most of any opportunities that come my way. My ultimate goal is to be a full-time novelist, and I self-published my first novel, Hearts in Harmony, in the summer of 2020 with the sequel currently in the works. I am also working towards my TESOL certificate as well as applying for graduate studies.I have recently been selected as one of the 2023 British Columbia Ambassadors, and I am so honoured to have the opportunity to represent my province in this way. The British Columbia Ambassador mandate is to encourage provincial leaders of the future, promote and assist with post-secondary education, and forge links of friendship and understanding throughout the British Columbia communities. My personal goal for the year is to be a role model for young people in my hometown and beyond. I love to read, write, and learn just about anything. Whether it's a new language (or all of them, all at once), a new area of study (Arthurian literature, anyone?), or a new hobby (should I learn to play the ukelele, or to unicycle? Definitely both.) I'm ready to go wherever my curiosity takes me. I enjoy meeting new people, and I relish the opportunity to make someone else smile. I have loved working with international students through the ITC, and making sure that their time in Canada is as fantastic and memorable as possible. I strive for excellence in everything I do, and I am not content with giving less than my best. I want to challenge myself to move beyond my comfort zone and to grow into the best person that I can be. And to remind myself that the goal is growth, and not perfection. Most importantly, while on this trip to the moon I want to make sure to enjoy the view.
