By the time I graduated high school I had already learned three major life lessons. The first: If at first, you fail (or two times after), try again once more. Being able to keep a positive attitude shaped my high school career because I could look past even the worst situations or trickiest problems. I developed leadership skills that naturally landed me leadership positions like Sophomore Class President and the Student Council Association President (SCA) and the experience I gained from being a school leader led me to my next lesson. The second lesson: Teamwork truly does make the dream work. Working with others, whether it was in a classroom or on the field, taught me how to communicate efficiently so that deadlines were met and game plans heard. Each person I met along the way surprised me with something new and something about myself bringing me to my final lesson.Lesson Three: Never judge a book by its cover. Open-mindedness pushed me to enjoy things that at first glance I didn’t think I would which developed my creative taste. It drove my goals in life towards something that I could express my creativity with. By the time high school had ended, I found myself looking at a future that held two paths: a creative director and a screenwriter. Those three major life lessons raised me to be who I am today as a student, teammate, and friend but, more importantly, they represent the hard worker I’ve grown to be.
