At UC San Diego, my role as a Communications and Network Technical Analyst 2 drives me to harness the power of artificial intelligence and algorithm development to identify and mitigate anomalous events in network traffic. The challenge of discovering subtle irregularities within darknet data is matched by the fulfillment of contributing to the cybersecurity defenses of the UC San Diego Supercomputer Center.Previously, as a Data Scientist and Research Assistant with CAIDA, I developed machine learning models aimed at enhancing the accuracy of threat detection systems. Tasked with the optimization of these models using high-performance computing clusters, our team's efforts led to improvements in evaluating model performance against established benchmarks, showcasing a commitment to advancing the field of cybersecurity and network analysis.
