Currently a senior at EKU as a Business Administration in Accounting major (Minoring in Informatics with a Certificate in Global Supply Chain Management), I look forward to graduating in December 2025. Working hard and soaking up all the experience and knowledge I possibly can, I'm happy to be an Internal Audit Intern at a fantastic company. As well as developing a love for working in audit and a fascination with all things risk management, control, and analysis- I'm slowly and surely becoming the professional and leader I aspire to be.My long-term career goal is to become a business leader who empowers and connects. My near-term goals are to earn the Certified Management Accountant certification (beginning my final semester), and to complete either the CPA exams (completing the relevant 150 credit hours of coursework now) or a Master's degree early in my career. Beyond these goal posts though, I see myself as a life-long learner who thrives working with people-oriented teams! As a brief background, before interning in Internal Audit, I provided small business bookkeeping services through a local accounting solutions firm. I was also employed for nearly 5 years at Whole Foods Market, where I worked full-time in a store purchasing role and then part-time in retail customer service while I focused on my studies full-time. On campus, I'm working to develop my leadership skills by leading our EKU Student Chapter of the IMA. I'm also continuously improving my juggling skills while I work, maintain high grades (cumulative GPA 3.97), care for my young family, involve myself in the campus community, and maintain my happiness and health!In the midst of juggling the wonderful priorities above, I love to explore new places, spend time with my friends and family, swim, and read!I'm on LinkedIn to grow professionally, to learn about the broader business world around me, and to connect - I'm happy to talk!
