I was responsible for strategic and tactical operational planning and management for the Technology Commercialization unit of the Corporate Engagement Office. Through this role, I owned risk management, performance and reporting, customer experience, quality management, operational excellence, and student internships. I also provided leadership and developed programs to align the policies, strategies and initiatives of Tech Commercialization for the benefit of the faculty and staff, the university, and the local innovation ecosystem.

As an intellectual property strategist and advisor I combined business acumen with IP knowledge to ensure that the University obtained IP that supports and maximizes the commercial potential of the inventions and world-class research that occurs at Ohio State. I also served to protect the rights and interests of faculty and other researchers at Ohio State while facilitating productive industry relations and ensuring that the University and inventors receive fair compensation for the value they create.

I worked independently for small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Columbus market to supplement the business-legal needs of the company - focused on intellectual property strategy, creating an IP protection plan while leveraging IP assets for business growth. Also providing assistance in the preparation of contracts, agreements and other legal documents on behalf of the client. Partnering with client team members to provide recommendations of contract obligations, deficiencies, commitments and performance for company management.

I had the unique opportunity of playing a key role in planning a high-stakes initiative for the city of Cleveland. Leveraging our collective expertise and skill sets, we delivered an $8M transportation plan that met all safety, reliability, efficiency, and comprehensiveness standards for a designated National Special Security Event. I effectively coordinated with key stakeholders, including the United States Secret Service, state and local law enforcement, and outside vendors. My exceptional project management skills and relationship-building abilities were critical in ensuring the successful execution of this monumental event.The Committee was dissolved following completion of Convention.

KU LEADS paved the way for standalone student-athlete development departments in the NCAA. The unit focused on leadership training, community engagement, and professional development to enhance the student-athlete experience. As the Director of this department, I was responsible for all community engagement with the student-athlete population, which included shaping the conversation around Kansas student-athletes via social engagement campaigns for multimedia, print and digital. I had direct oversight of the student-athlete governing body and contributed to the execution and creation of leadership programming to provide off-the-field life skills for over 500 student-athletes. Our department also housed all athletics department events, meetings, and programming.
