The West Tennessee Workforce Collaborative is dedicated to creating and enhancing partnerships between education and local industries and strengthening the talent pipeline beginning in K-12 education to meet the needs of the regional workforce. We believe the best way to address the skills gap and promote economic growth is by working together to support a multifaceted approach to developing a prepared workforce. It is our goal that employers have consistent access to the skilled talent they need, and that youth are supported in training for and attaining high-need, high-wage careers.

*The work of PIE has expanded beyond Collierville and now exists within the West TN Workforce Collaborative*PIE endeavors to fill in the gaps of an already-strong school system with a multi-pronged approach. We partner with local businesses and their leaders to answer their workforce needs and create student experience beyond school walls in the form of mentorships, internships, career educations, and entrenchment. We enrich academic, athletic, and arts programs to offer students unparalleled access and training before they ever leave our hallways. We will address priority “brick-and-mortar” needs to create facilities that will produce the best and brightest.All of this will ready the runway and provide students with a smooth transition after high school. Whatever their path, they will be armed with skills, knowledge, and experience that matter—elements that will set them apart in the marketplace and help ensure college and career success. That not only builds better students, but it also will ultimately build a better Collierville.

➤ Handling a range of high-level functions to improve operational effectiveness, including payroll, web design, project management, and financial management.➤ Responsible for operations of a small business that develops and advocates for pro-business public policy that optimizes the quality of life and well-being of all Tennesseans. ➤ Overseeing the day-to-day operation of services for Workforce programs, while providing leadership & collaboration to staff, employers, workforce development agencies, government agencies, and community-based organizations in the development of program services to best serve employers. ➤ Establishing ongoing goals and strategic plans, working directly with businesses, staff, and partners to implement short/long- term goals, while also developing and managing appropriate evaluation plus reporting processes to determine program success along with effectiveness. ➤ Managing the program budget including developing budget proposals, justifying expenses, and monitoring expenditures, as well as performing demand planning, using dynamic, short-term forecasts that are continually updated. ➤ Crafted effective policy priorities on education, workforce, health, and competitiveness issues in collaboration with Roundtable President and board members. ➤ Guided stakeholder messaging and engagement activities as project manager for policy initiatives, events, and coalitions. ➤ Developed and accomplished short-term strategic goals in all of the organization’s major policy focuses. ➤ Collaborated with partners to transform academic research into policy briefs and other materials intended for various audiences. ➤ Cultivated meaningful relationships with state legislative representatives, commissioners, and other state officials and staff.
