My contract in the Public Affairs office of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta entails developing marketing and content strategies for various social media channels, and includes conceptualizing and executing campaigns across those platforms. Subject matter includes the Fed's Annual Report, research, leadership, sustainability, monetary policy, economic mobility and resilience, holidays, etc. Currently working on three major projects. First, we are developing a campaign designed to humanize the Fed and its mission by showcasing the unique and interesting people that make up the business. Second, I am currently developing a mockup for a rebrand of the Financial Markets Conference, the Fed's premier conference held at Amelia Islands, for its 25th anniversary next year. Third, we are conceptualizing and developing a feasible social media structure and strategy for the president of the Atlanta Fed, Raphael Bostic. I work primarily with the marketing team, and provide a strong complementary support to many of the branches of the Fed, including REIN, CED, and more.

As the senior marketing designer at Takedown, I designed ads across a broad variety of platforms, including banners, headers, footers, social media, and e-marketing campaigns.Additionally, I supported Takedown with photography and social media management.

This is my freelance business.I work with a variety of people and companies to create new brands and update old ones. In addition, I like to do oddjobs and short-term projects from everything like flyers, bulletins, and posters to pottery, painting, and custom art.

I wore many hats at Lake Lanier, including but not limited to photographer, graphic designer, blogger, social media strategist, researcher, sandwich board designer, and web content maintenance person. I found I really enjoyed the variety in the day-to-day, and the collaborative environment.Every day I utilized visual language to design branded adverts across print, social media, web/mobile, and on-property platforms, which included ideation, copywriting, layout design, and final product assets.While at Lanier, I researched and drafted a proposal to institute a new department and positions for pet-friendly relations. This included the research, design, and budgeting of a new pet park, a pet resort/kennels, gourmet pet menus and treats, pet spa treatments, marketing and advertising, merchandising and more.My last major project with Lanier was working on researching and implementing a better water park map for our guests. I explored out-of-the-box ideas like placing the map on a beach ball or a frisbee to maximize guest usage in a wet environment.

As a professor of typography, I brought my students through the history of typography to where we are today. They learned about the anatomy of type, the four principles of good typographic design, and applied those lessons to a multitude of lessons I crafted. My goal with them was to help them appreciate creative and experimental typographic design, encourage them to produce portfolio-worthy work, and to apply their typography knowledge to all areas of their future designs.

Buncombe County, Nc

Children First commissioned an infographic dealing with poverty and nutrition in Buncombe County schools for print and web distribution. After a few iterations, we arrived at a design both beautiful and informative. Message me if you would like to see the final product.

Designed a series of half-page ads for magazine distribution, five marquis banner ads, and developed the website for the Norcross, GA ABC.

In addition to normal retail responsibilities, I hand-personalized toys with paint pens according to customer preference. This included a kid's name, usually with a custom font, and a graphic of their choice (ranging from favorite dinosaur plush toy to an epic battle between Spiderman riding on the back of a firetruck and Darth Vader in his TIE fighter!).
