Cassie’s love for wooden toys began at a young age, where she spent her time with her grandfather, a very gifted woodworker, in his woodshop. He taught Cassie about different types of wood and sorted through old toy books with her, where they would discover toy ideas to recreate on the jigsaw using various woods they found around the shop. Herself a new mom, Cassie began creating and manufacturing her own toys at Davidson Industries in North Carolina. In January 2014, at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Market, she launched her new line, landing Bright-Brained™ products on store shelves in nine states. She was the driving force behind her new company, BuggyBelles LLC, and the expansion of her Bright-Brained™ brand. Cassie spent the bulk of her time for the company in product design and quality control—closely overseeing the production of all Bright-Brained™ products, which were manufactured overseas.At Bright-Brained™ Toys, our mission is to go beyond the basic wooden toy. We develop a story behind each and every toy we make in order to engage all children in thinking "beyond the toy."
