Software Engineer
CurrentWorked on the Assist/Notary application which was built with Ruby on Rails and React/Redux, and interfaced with DocuSign to provide an interactive signing experience. From April-June 2020 this position was part of LiveOak Technologies until we were acquired by DocuSign (combined here for simplicity).+ Designed and implemented a standardized and structured logger for the backend to provide context and telemetry data for our logs. This was part of a broader effort to bring the observability and monitoring standards of the Assist application inline with the larger DocuSign organization.+ Worked on an interim solution for unblocking engineers during our weekly releases using a new staging environment.+ Designed a plan for transitioning the application to be a SPA, which we are currently delivering on.+ Focused on highlighting inefficiencies in our codebase to reduce our loading time through caching, asynchronously loading, optimizing database queries, and working towards a static front end.+ Continually strove to reduce our front end complexity, get onto DocuSign’s shared UI framework, convert class components into functional Typescript components, and enforce front end testing best practices, especially as one of the few engineers on the team with extensive front end experience.
