P.I.E.S. is a 10 week program empowering teens to be self aware, articulate, independent and thoughtful young adults. As a P.I.E.S. graduate, you are one of a few young women with the ability to truly articulate your needs, make smart decisions, use self awareness, protect yourself using self-defense, be able to manage your time and work load, feel good about who you are, how you look and the people you surround yourself with, and overall ability to be successful in any new situation. As a graduate you will be able to truly be proud of yourself, your accomplishments and be an important member of a community of peers who are there to support you throughout your young adult life and beyond. Recent studies have shown that college freshman women are less prepared than their predecessors, struggling with time management, low self-esteem and not having the tools necessary to articulate their needs and be able to manage their work and time successfully. The lack of these important skills are leaving them vulnerable to failing classes, struggles with peer pressure and relationship pressure and susceptible to campus predators. The P.I.E.S. program will help young women learn to balance pressure coming from, school, family, and friends, and raise self awareness so they will be successful in any situation. P.I.E.S. was created to truly empower young women to be strong, independent and thoughtful young adults and to invoke the same empowerment in others.
