As a Human Resource Analyst I partners with department leadership to develop and implement recruitment and staffing strategies that help achieve the department's strategic objectives in line with the County mission. I perform a variety of professional and technical work in the area of human resource administration including recruitment, classification and compensation analysis, job analysis, as well assist with Labor Relations activities.

In this position I was responsible for administering all Civil Service examinations related to positions in the Pierce County Sheriff's Department to include clerical testing, Deputy Sheriff testing and Correctional Officer testing and all other open competitive testing related to all civil service covered positions in the Pierce County Sheriff's Department. As a test Administrator responsible for selecting appropriate testing materials, organizing test components, proctoring the examination, and maintaining test security. Responsible for the management and daily maintenance of all Civil Service registers to include the removal of names, register certification and assigning veterans preference points. Responsible for the management of the County's Continuous Testing process for Deputy Sheriff and Correctional Officer positions providing recruiting service, developing and managing various marketing initatives and conducting informational workshops to assist applicants going through the testing and background process. Performed duties as a recruiter working closely with Sheriff Department personnel. Developed recruiting materials, attended employment events, conducted employment workshops for candidates seeking employment. Well versed in working in unionized environment.
