• Established relationships with hundreds of diverse stakeholders to identify the challenges and barriers that people experience in the Commission’s discrimination complaints process. I also provided practical and policy advice to Executive Management to improve access to the complaints process. • Collaborated with other teams and led many internal and external working groups to achieve Commission’s priorities. • Strategically designed, developed, promoted and delivered training, education, and information programs to Indigenous communities and other national stakeholders. • Effectively adapted organizational policies, guidelines, standards, plans, tools and publications for Indigenous audiences, particularly those in vulnerable circumstances as defined by the National Aboriginal Initiative’s strategic priorities. • Awarded the Commission’s Individual Award for Professional Excellence for “…leading the design, development, and facilitation of national roundtable meetings with Indigenous women, their representatives and those who provide services to Indigenous women to produce Honouring the Strength of Our Sisters: Increasing Access to Human Rights Justice for Indigenous Women and Girls.”• Recognition Awards for: o “…effectively leading the team that undertook the legal and policy analysis, and strategic consultation necessary to update the Commission’s Special Programs and Indigenous Employment Preferences Policies.” o “Indigenous youth education and engagement initiatives, including the creation of the Human Rights Defenders game for youth.”

• Built and enhanced relationships with Subject Matter Experts in order to effectively provide English language writing, editing, and proofreading services throughout the organization. • Managed multiple writing projects at once to produce accurate, clear and enticing public communications products. • Awarded the Commission’s Individual Award for Professional Excellence for “English, clear language expertise and collaborative relationship building, when developing and drafting the Commission’s first Human Rights Handbook for First Nations.”

During my temporary assignment to the department, I developed several policy papers and other strategic briefing documents for high-level officials within the department. Most notably, I was responsible for the Assistant Deputy Minister’s weekly briefing document entitled “the Look Ahead”.
