I joined the project in Elaboration and have set up processes, tools and recruited the test team in a multi-disciplined project. The project engages functional testing with a bespoke automated test tools in python, manual testing of multiple web GUI’s and non-functional testing. Responsible for ramping up and training a team of up to 5 of functional testers and 2 non-functional testers. Tests are designed, and implemented in Eclipse in a Continuous Integration environment (Jenkins) using GIT as source control. Automated tests (functional and non-functional) are run by a UNIX command through Ubuntu application server and monitored using Splunk. Other responsibilities include designing, implementing and maintaining the test approach and test plans, providing regular detailed reports showing metrics such as coverage, pass/fail rates and defect information. I chair the group, manage the meetings, implement and provide guidance to support the initiatives. In this role I was responsible for managing a team of up to 10 testers, testing and implementing in house oracle forms and Java applications. I planned resource over multiple large scale projects with a 6/9 month planning horizon, as well as managing the daily change process. I was responsible for the quality of all test assets. Used to working to monthly release cycles, and using test techniques such as risk based testing and being involved/managing the testing on a number of projects. I was responsible for designing the test strategy for the project working with large international banking institutions which required co-ordinating testing from many other suppliers. I arranged and supported the testing of web services and required real-time integration testing between CPP and other clients. I was instrumental in working with the client and ensuring the end solution was of a high quality. Delivered other large projects such as a new agent Java based GUI. I assisted the implementation of the application in to 4 countries across Europe and travelled to Spain to complete on site testing with the users. I owned the recruitment process and have hired several qualified testers as well as recruiting and training graduate team members. Managing a large team of user acceptance testers to ensure successful implementation of new software

I was responsible for the design and implementation of test plans, scripts and specifications. Using query language to reference, create and verify data through TOAD and SQL developer. Projects included testing of oracle form based GUI for agents (thin client) delivered globally over 14 countries. Testing included all aspects of system, regression, re-testing, integration and performance testing. I was key in testing a new agent GUI using Oracle forms, which was successfully delivered in all of CPP’s international offices. I also tested the migration of Oracle database from 8 to 10G, which required me to manipulate the data in the database using SQL queries. Additional responsibilities included being involved in software design discussions to add value to the end solution. Responsibilities included test planning and all aspects of system, regression, re-testing, integration and performance testing using Oracle forms.
