I have almost 7 years of experience working at the Maritime and Ocean Affairs Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Republic of the Philippines. I handled the processing of foreign marine scientific research (MSR) intended to be conducted in the Philippines. I also handled bilateral maritime issues between Philippines and other countries such as the U.S., Indonesia, and other Asian and European countries. I prepared letters, memoranda, communications between the Department and other government offices, as well as diplomatic correspondences. I also prepared briefing papers, talking points and press releases. I also assisted in organizing inter-office, inter-agency, and bilateral meetings, both in-person and virtually. I was able to attend several Law of the Sea trainings conducted by the Foreign Service Institute (Philippines), National Institute for South China Sea Studies (China), Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (Australia), and the Clingendael Institute (Netherlands).
