I've worn many hats in my work life, including attorney, land agent, conservation easement specialist, fundraiser, litigation supporter, environmental policy analyst, compliance professional, as well as teaching various outdoor activities including sailing and snowboarding. These experiences have enabled me to develop a unique combination of skills, such as managing and conquering complicated multi-disciplinary projects, learning new skills on the fly as-needed to put mine and my employer's best foot forward, enjoying the challenges along the way while always learning something from the bumps in the road, and taking the time to celebrate successes in the end because if you're too busy to "cheers" once in a while, you're doing it wrong. I also pride myself on being able to navigate complex challenges and communicate effectively with all sorts of people, which has come in handy!Through my experience and education, I have honed the following skills that have been very helpful in my work:- Issue-spotting and legal analysis. I spot sneaky clauses and avoid big problems in the future.- Organization and time management. I am able to juggle multiple time-sensitive tasks. I've been told that I exude calmness and confidence in the face of chaos.-Learning new skills and software. I soak up new information like a sponge and enjoy learning something new.-Getting things done. I set my mind to something and I get to it.-Being accountable and always improving. I hold myself and others accountable for successes and failures and see mistakes as valuable learning opportunities for better future performance.- Effective communication. I understand that poor communication leads to unnecessary frustration and inefficiency. I try to ask the right questions, listen carefully, and communicate clearly.I love growing my professional community. Please reach out if you'd like to meet up and chat!
