Provides and delegates patient care activities based on patient needs and team members skills/ability. Assesses, monitors, and evaluates patient health status by observing patient, collaborating with physicians, and using individualized care plans based on patient needs. Monitors patient's progress and prepares patient for discharge. Educates patients on disease processes, medication administration, and treatment plan. Works with physicians and other health care professionals to ensure desired patient outcomes. Mentors new employees and encourages them to advance their nursing skills by role modeling safe, efficient patient care.
