I am now an associate registered nutritionist with a degree in human nutrition and health. I currently work as an assistant nutritionist for Boxing Science, working closely with boxers and other weight making athletes.I get very excited by the topic of food, nutrition and health (some would say obsessed, but I like to think of it as a healthy drive to learn!) I have a keen interest in public health, obesity prevention, and food psychology in particular and I am fascinated by the role of the microbiome in our overall health.I tend to geek out on all topics of health. To gain as much knowledge as I can in various aspects of health and wellness, much of my spare time is spent doing research and gathering evidence on specific topics through reading and listening to podcasts, with the aim of becoming a well-rounded and open minded nutritionist. I believe in a holistic approach to wellness, ensuring lifestyle factors such as activity levels, sleep patterns, social interactions and stress levels are also taken into consideration when advising clients on their wellbeing. My personal struggle with health in my early adult life has inspired me to help others with their own goals through the use of appropriate nutrition and holistic healing.
