I'm a seasoned and passionate executive and founder in the consumer products space, with 20 years of consumer products experience, 15 years of experience building and leading high-performing teams, and 13 years of hyper-growth startup experience. I love mission-driven brands, a growth mindset, and high-energy and driven people. I'm currently the Chief Operating Officer at Birdy Grey, a leading player in the bridesmaids and bridal party gifts space. Birdy Grey is an innovative and fast-growing DTC company and recently ranked #305 on Inc 5000's List of Fastest Growing US Companies. I'm accountable for product sourcing, merchandising, inventory planning, fulfillment, shipping, customer service, and analytics. Prior to that, I founded and served as the CEO at Skylar, a clean and conscious fragrance and body care brand based in LA that was inspired by my daughter's fragrance allergy. Started as a DTC brand, Skylar successfully expanded into multiple wholesale distribution channels, including Sephora, department stores, and Amazon. In December 2022, I successfully sold the business to a vertically integrated conglomerate after achieving strong growth and profitability. Before starting Skylar, I was the VP of Operations at The Honest Company, a clean baby and household products brand, where I led a team of over 500 people and helped to grow the company from zero to over $300 million in revenue through 4 years of hyper-growth. My responsibilities included planning inventory for over 300 SKUs, launching and fulfilling out of 3 distribution centers across the country, and shipping to over 10,000 happy DTC customers per day. I started my career in management consulting at Bain & Company and continued honing my skills at Apple and Activision Blizzard. I earned a BS in Management Science from MIT and an MBA in Marketing and Operations from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. I was born and raised in Taiwan and speak fluent Mandarin.
