Pre-Doctoral Fellow in the Clinical Psychology Training Program at ZSFGH/UCSF Trauma Recovery Center.

Assisted with a capstone course in anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and body dysmorphic disorders the Psychology Department.

Instructor with gradebook responsibility for Abnormal Psychology and Developmental Psychology.

Complete intake evaluations, substance abuse evaluations, and disability evaluations using the CANS/ANSA. Provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a wide range of psychopathology. Interface with the Department of Children's Services, case workers, and other providers, as appropriate.

Provided intake evaluations, substance abuse evaluations, individual and group psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services.

Meet recent victims/survivors of sexual assault and partner violence in hospital and legal settings, assist with safety planning, and provide/organize referrals and transportation to appropriate facilities (e.g. domestic violence shelter) as necessary.

Assist with two research projects on depression and suicidality in individuals with bipolar disorder, as well as a research project on mood and emotion in individuals with uni- and bipolar depression vs. healthy controls, under Lauren Weinstock, Ph.D. Duties included recruiting and enrolling participants from inpatient and, partial hospital and outpatient settings, participant assessment/differential diagnosis and providing blind follow-up ratings of participants in collaborators' research, participant tracking and retention, database management, IRB assistance, and literature review.Assessment tools used: SCID I and II, Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale, Clinician Administered Rating Scale for Mania, Inventory of Depressive Symptoms, Life Chart Interview, Modified Scale for Suicidal Ideation, Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale, Timeline follow-back.

Compiled data sets and completed an exploratory factor analysis of the Child and Adolescent Perfectionism Scale (CAPS) with Patricia DiBartolo, Ph.D. as part of the Frances Baker Holmes internship grant.Also completed an honors thesis with Dr. DiBartolo, which included the design and execution of an independent research project comparing the relative efficacy of brief cognitive restructuring vs. mindfulness-based interventions on perfectionitic concerns. The data were analyzed using ANOVA and logistic regression analysis.

Provided mediation and peer counseling, planned programs and events for residents on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, held 5 suite/open hours per week, enforced college policy, submitted weekly and incident reports, attended weekly and monthly staff meetings, facilitated staff training sessions, acted as a liaison between college administrators, house staff, and residents, oversaw the maintenance of the residence, assisted residents with room change requests and lockouts.

Managed a college residence of 80 students, provided mediation and peer counseling, planned programs and events for residents on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, held three weekly suite/open hours, enforced college policy, submitted weekly reports and incident reports, attended weekly and monthly staff meetings, participated in fall and winter trainings, including multicultural mediation training and certification by the Social Justice Mediation Institute, based in Amherst, MA

Transcribed children’s narratives using FileMaker Pro, created and assembled testing materials, and analyzed data using SPSS (ANOVA) under Peter de Villiers, Ph.D.
